Los Angeles BDS action – five years of BDS, one year of Ahava campaign

Bonnie, CODEPINK LA organizer

Friday, July 9, is the fifth anniversary of the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions; this week also marks one year since we launched the Stolen Beauty AHAVA boycott campaign in Tel Aviv and NYC.  Join CODEPINK as we visit two Beverly Hills-area stores carrying Ahava: Bel Air Beauty Center and Roxbury Pharmacy, both on West Pico Boulevard.  We have called and sent letters asking them to stop carrying the boycotted products — time to pay them a pretty pink visit!

Meet Friday, 12:30 pm at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on West Pico Boulevard at Reeves Street.  Please RSVP.

In the past year we visited four stores on the west side of LA almost monthly; one visit made the cover of a local paper.  Three stores have discontinued their relationships with AHAVA because they violated human rights.  We kick off year two by moving east to have the same affect.  Just a few months ago COSTCO announced they would discontinue carrying AHAVA.

Join us to end the practice of Stolen Beauty,
Jodie, Bonnie, Susan, Patricia and Linda
